The quarry is located at a distance of 25 km from Kokshetau near the village Birlestik of Zerenda district in Akmola region. The Alekseevskoye deposit is one of the largest in the world in terms of the amount of proven reserves and the quality of the extracted kaolin. The field comprises large layers of kaolin to the depth up to 70 meters. The field area takes up 125 hectares. Mining activities are carried out from early spring to late autumn. In winter, mining is suspended. During the season, about 300,000 tons of raw kaolin is mined. The extracted kaolin is stored on-site for further enrichment.
